About this deal

Unlike the Lego kit, we’ve created separate coach compartments and three sets of Emerald Nights that are comparable yet distinct. However I would use this topic only for inspiration since bumping such an old thread is not always aprecciated. LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure and the brick and knob configurations are trademarks and/or copyrights of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site. I found a topic from 2013, even it may be a bit outdated, you can find some Emerald nights in different colors and also a cheaper solution for the cars.

I think it is a phenomenal model and ranks up there in my book as one of the best trains LEGO has released. You can get a motor to replace the engine compartment so that the train will actually run on (lego brand) tracks. Bathed in the soft luminescence of LEGO Lights, details like the detailed interior of the dining car and the steam emanating from the locomotive come alive, evoking feelings of warmth and wonder. From the steam locomotive with its blazing furnace to the ornate dining car, every aspect has been lovingly recreated. Despite some notable flaws, the Night was very successful in introducing Lego fans to a new style of highly detailed train builds.long Lots of authentic touches including elements in rare colors and all-new large train wheels with piston motion! Despite the flaws in design that I have pointed out, I think the train looks much better with multiple coaches and a caboose. The case is made from 3mm acrylic and comes flat-packed, complete with instructions and 14 screws to assemble the panels together. It's pretty nice, but the one thing I don't like is it is NOT MOTORIZED which is a shame if you love steam trains. I have three EN's, two in original livery and the third is in 'baureihe' colors (red details and totally black).

When enriched with LEGO Lights, this classic train is transformed into an illuminated masterpiece, reminiscent of historic rail adventures, encapsulating the romance and elegance of traditional train travel. I fully agree on what M_slug said before: It appears as you have the building instructions - make your own Emerald Night! But building the included engine unit is a lot of fun -- various interlocking gears and axles which were very interesting for my 5 year old to put together (with help) and see in operation. The three moc set is MOC-37965 KernowBrix’s Emerald Night Class A3-A Locomotive that also includes a locomotive and a tender. Alternatively, you can rig your own lights, or you can purchase our KernowBrix Lighting Solutions, which does not need a cable from the tender and has its own battery. The set does not include train track and a motor, but can be motorized using the Power Functions XL motor, IR Speed remote control, IR Receiver, LED .
